SFM Preview

⚽️ It’s Friday! And that means, a weekend full of European soccer ahead!

The Serie A and Ligue 1were already in full motion during the week, while clubs of other leagues were off to their national cup games.

🥅 Preview -- Players

Instead of looking at specific games, let’s have a look at the Top 5 players that are most likely to score at least one goal:

  1. Erling Haaland -- Median Probability: ~57.6%
His goals will be crucial as Manchester City faces second placed AFC Bournemouth, with only 2 points separating the two.
  2. Harry Kane -- Median Probability: ~52.2%
The only chance for this Bundesliga season to not become once again a boring championship, is Bayer Leverkusen winning this weekend. Though, with Kane being more likely than not to score at least one goal, the odds are kind of stacked against that scenario.
  3. Robert Lewandowski -- Median Probability: ~51.3%
Well, this is much more of a wishful thinking, with the Polish forward being most likely out, because of injury.
  4. Mohamed Salah -- Median Probability: ~41.3%
A large drop of about 10 percentage points to the third placed Robert Lewandowski. But needless to say that Liverpool FC would desperately need the Egyptian’s goals.
  5. Romelu Lukaku -- Median Probability: ~37.7%
The Belgian has been plagued by an injury for the whole season already: almost certain to be sidelined once again. But Napoli has shown this season that other players are ready to step in. Even if the last performances were borderline convincing, the reigning Italian champion is again holding on to the first place. One definitely has to acknowledge the skill of il mister, Antonio Conte.
