This week’s Top Picks for finding the back of the net at least once:
- Erling Haaland* – Manchester City: ~ 59% (👉 2+ Goals: ~26%)
- Harry Kane – Bayern München: ~ 56%
- Lois Openda – Juventus Turin: ~ 41%
- Jonathan David – Juventus Turin: ~ 34%
- Goncalo Ramos – PSG: ~ 25%
- Leandro Trossard – Arsenal FC: ~ 22%
- Benjamin Sesko – ManU: ~ 21%
*Reason for such a high probability of scoring 2+ goals? Playing at home, and a 35(!) point difference between Man City and the Wolverhampton Wanderers. SFM factors at play...
Games to Watch
FC Arsenalvs.
Manchester United
A highlight in the English Premier League. Not quite the days anymore of Arsene Wenger vs. Sir Alex Ferguson or Thierry Henry vs Rio Ferdinand, but still a match that gives you goose bumps when thinking about it. Well, 15(!) points separating the two, but the SFM doesn’t really have a clear tilt: no individual player really stands out and individual median probabilities of scoring at least once range around 20% - 25% for both teams.
Juventus Turinvs.
SSC Napoli
Even if there is also AS Roma vs. AC Milan, Juventus-Napoli is a symbol for the Italian north-south rivalry...some might say: division. A win by the Bianconeri would put them only one point shy of the reigning Italian Champion from the Vesuv. The SFM sees Lois Openda, who has only scored once this season, and Jonathan David as the most likely candidates for the home team to score at least one goal. Overall the SFM has the odds quite tilted towards a win for Juventus, suggestive of the home pitch factor playing a role here.
