It is again one of those weekends of the year: El Clásico! On Sunday we are going to witness another edition of the arguably biggest match-up in club football history – apart from maybe the Superclásico between River Plate and Boca – between the FC Barcelona and Real Madrid!
But this Clásico is not like any other: it might be the first instance since 1932, in which a team will seal the La Liga title in a Clásico!
So, let’s get right into it and have a look at the Soccer Factor Model (SFM) predictions for players’ scoring probabilities for the upcoming matches!

🥅 Preview – El Clásico
FC Barcelonavs.
Real Madrid
With 4 matches still outstanding, the FC Barcelona is sitting at the top of the table, 11 points ahead of archrival Real Madrid. On Sunday, the two teams are facing each other at the Camp Nou, and only a draw would kick-off the festivities!
What an embarrassment this would be for the Royal visitors from the capital in Madrid: handing the title to the proud Catalans and witnessing the festivities right on the pitch!
This has only happened once in the history of 191 El Clásico’s, when Lazcano and Luis Regueiro secured a 2:2 draw against Barça on April 3rd, 1932, in the last match of the season to secure Real’s first ever league title!
Back then, it was only the 4th match-up between the two teams, and ever since, Barça has won 76, while Real has left the pitch as a winner 80 times.
But momentum doesn’t really seem to be on Real’s side this time: “only” 8 points out of the last 5 La Liga matches is just not enough in the fierce race for the Spanish title; adding on top the elimination in the Champions League quarter finals against Bayern München and overall a supposedly “difficult” atmosphere in the locker room are not giving the Madridistas a lot of confidence to be hopeful.
Nonetheless, this is El Clásico, and everyone who has ever played their very own El Clásico in the minor leagues knows that those are very special days on which nothing else matters more than passion and determination.
🤓 And the SFM predicts the 77th win for Barça in the history of El Clásico!

Paris Saint-Germainvs.
Stade Brest
Obviously, not a Clásico – well, if actually, please let me know – but worth flagging still: PSG could finish off a banger of a week on Sunday.
First, they fought off Bayern on Wednesday in the Champions League semi-finals and are on the road to the Puskás Aréna in Budapest to defend their very own title as the Champions of Europe. Second, a win of Stade Brest, would put them an inch off of the goal line to become once again the Champion of France as well!
- 🤓 The SFM has the odds clearly tilted
- a clear win for PSG.
